Much of our recent work has focused on training internet marketing specialists. One example of this work is Steve’s Auto Repair and Tires of Woodbridge. It can be highly effective to use low cost, part time or full time internet marketing specialists to promote search friendly products and services – think high priced, non-emergency goods or service work, especially, for highly localized items and services. Imagine the owner of an out-of-warrantee Mercedes Benz C 240 Wagon hears a squeak and realizes she may soon need brake work. The campaign for Steve’s emphasizes their Mercedes’ trained technician and the fact that their prices are lower than dealer service prices. In many cases, the owner would choose Steve’s for Mercedes brake repair service.

Often, an internet marketing assistant will focus on short tail keywords (auto repair) and broad local categories (northern Virginia) that are highly competitive and difficult to win, while ignoring long tail keywords that are both easier to win and focused on the most profitable lines of a business. The key at Steve’s has been the involvement of the owners. They, too, needed to be educated in what they could realistically win, and whose knowledge of the most profitable targets in that list led to ultimate success.
